Using electro-magnetic underground utility locating instruments, our team of experienced locators detect and mark underground utilities. Designating the horizontal locations of existing buried utilities necessary for engineering designs.

TESS Locating will utilize all available data and records in order to provide the most accurate designations of underground systems and structures, accomplishing SUE Quality Levels B, C and D.

TESS Locating is skilled and equipped to expose and record the exact vertical and horizontal location of an underground utility using vacuum excavation, accomplishing SUE Quality Level A information. These test holes provide crucial information eliminating any potential utility conflicts.

 

Once these points are exposed, staked and surveyed, our team restores the hole and provides the proper utility designation based on ASCE Standards of Practice. We also provide a Formal Test Hole Report for each project.

Each project is documented through a process of drawing physical and digital maps of the information obtained during the designation and location of each utility. TESS Locating is able to provide differing levels of details based on the client’s needs and requests.

 

From surveys and CAD to color coded sketch maps, our team is able to provide a complete visual representation of the utility sub-scape for our clients.
